Villa Hijau represents open plan living at its best. It is set into a lush garden. Located in a prime area of Iskandar Puteri, Johor: Horizon Hills - a short 15 minute drive to the Malaysia/Singapore border, 15 minutes to Johor Bahru city centre, 20 minutes to Senai Airport, 40 minutes to Pengeran, 90 minutes to Desaru beach.
About the area: Horizon Hills
GATED AND GUARDED
HORIZON HILLS is a gated and guarded development set into a golf course - the HORIZON HILLS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB. It is located in the heart of ISKANDAR PUTERI (until 1 Jan 2016 known as 'NUSAJAYA'), a brand new city on the South Western tip of Malaysia, only 15 minutes from the Second Link border to Singapore. The development consists of several precincts such as The Gateway, The Golf, The Hills etc.
THE GATEWAY PRECINCT
Villa Hijau is located in The Gateway precinct of Horizon Hills. The Gateway is the oldest precinct and therefore features mature planting and a spacious layout with gardens between the mostly semi detached homes.
THE CLUB HOUSE (HORIZON HILLS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB)
Most Horizon Hills residents are also members in the Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club which consists of two restaurants, a Spa, a gym, and an Olympic size swimming pool. See www.hhgcc.com.my for more details.
HORIZON HILLS' The Gateway precinct is in walking distance to the Horizon Hills shop units which have several small shops (a Japanese bakery, a grocery shop (Urban Grocers), an Italian restaurant and bar called Coppola. There is also a Yoga Studio (Kulatree Studios). A 5 minute drive away is Bukit Indah with lots of shops, restaurants and a TESCO, AEON JUSCO and GIANT supermarket. Each around 10 minutes away are MARLBOROUGH COLLEGE, RAFFLES AMERICAN SCHOOL and EDUCITY with universities such as Newcastle Medical School, Southampton University, the Dutch Maritime Institute, Reading University. A nearby scenic getaway is PUTERI HARBOUR - a beautiful small harbour which offers some great cafes (such as ESPRESSO GARAGE, STARBUCKS ETC) and a diverse range of restaurants in addition to HOTEL JEN and to the HELLO KITTY RED CUBE theme park. Also at Puteri Harbour is a MARVEL SUPERHERO store and cafe. And on the way from Horizon Hills to Puteri Harbour a short 'D-tour' leads to PINEWOOD STUDIOS, where the Netflix series 'Marco Polo' was mostly filmed.
Part of Puteri Harbour (i.e. 5 to 10min drive from Ledang Heights) is the International Ferry Terminal with boats to Indonesia and soon to Harbourfront in Singapore.
The Second Link bridge to Singapore is an 8 minutes drive from Ledang Heights.
There are plenty of buses within the region (Bus Rapid Transit System) and to Singapore.
A high speed rail link between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore is on the way and will contain a frequent commuter train from Iskandar Puteri to Singapore (for more details see the MyHSR.my website). It is estimated that this train will start operations in 2026.
Also in the offing is a connection from Johor Bahru city centre to the Singapore MRT (Bukit Chagar JB to Republic Polytechnic/Thompson East Coast MRT line) - targeted for completion in 2022. The Iskandar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) connection to Singapore is planned for 2020.
